Winter Writing Contest Winner: 3rd place

Winter Baby Song by Sofia F, Iowa

I love winter baby,

The mountains are glowing white

Snap Snap

And baby, will you go out with me tonight

Yeh

We can climb the mountain

And count the stars

snap Snap

And baby, we’ll take a trip to Mars

Yeh

Uh huh

Yeh

Baby, tell me your name

I got a fever, I just can’t explain

Snap Snap

We’ll smell the pine trees all day

Yeh

We can build a snowman

And strum my mom’s guitar

We could have hot chocolate

And take a hike that’s far

Yeh

So, come along the winter

And goodbye fall

You too baby

It’ll be the best winter of all

Yeh

Winter

The snow glows white on the mountaintop,
Santa’s a’comin soon
Nobody’s awake, you could hear a pin drop
Santa Claus where are you?

Visions of sugarplums are dancing in our heads,
Santa’s a’comin soon
Reluctantly climbing into our beds
Santa Claus where are you?

My brothers and sisters hold me tight
Santa’s a’comin soon
We won’t sleep a wink tonight
Santa Claus where are you?

Mommy’s busy a’ rappin
Daddy’s busy a’nappin
The sun comes up
We rise up
The presents are under the tree

Santa Claus came!
We all shout out with glee
He got me a game!
So many presents under the christmas tree.

So now my day is great
And I hope your’s is too
So bye and farewell
And merry Christmas to you.
